Our School Psychology Doctoral Program
Nationally accredited doctoral training program
The School Psychology Doctoral Program is accredited by NASP and offers a PsyD degree in School Psychology. MSU's program prepares graduates to obtain national and state certification and to work as school psychologists in school systems. Our graduates are also employed in clinical settings and as university faculty.

Focus on the NASP 10 Domains of Practice
The School Psychology Doctoral Program is a five-year program that includes four years of research and coursework and concludes in a one-year internship. The program is designed to develop students' skills within NASP's 10 Domains of Practice, which include data-based decision making, interventions and instructional supports for academic and mental health, consulting and collaborating with school staff and families, research and evaluation, and a variety of additional areas.

Faculty focused on student development
The School Psychology Doctoral Program faculty each have distinct areas of expertise, including preventative and responsive behavioral supports, academic intervention, supporting diverse students, and supporting student identified with significant emotional and behavioral concerns. Faculty not only focus on conducting research and maintaining their areas of expertise but also on helping students develop their skils to become excellent practitioners and researchers.
